I have grown up with the sound of At the Drive In and Sparta and as an adult I fully appreciate the evolution of the human soul. This album has foundations in all of the above, it also has some Sleepercar and a little bit of Jim Ward's solo albums in it, but most importantly it has an inspired evolution of who Jim Ward is today and that is a damn good thing! Now if only, Mr. Ward can continue with this amazing creative musical output because we all know that the world is better place with it. Michael Pineda

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
